Obituary of Hongbo (Ella) Sun
Hongbo (Ella) Sun, of Clermont, Florida, passed away unexpectedly in an accident on July 2, 2026, at the age of 57.
Ella was born on June 1, 1969, in Nanchang, China. Throughout her life, she embraced new opportunities with courage, determination, and an entrepreneurial spirit. After working in several different careers, she and her husband, Wu Zheng, founded an auto parts business in China, which later expanded into a successful automobile dealership.
In January 2009, Ella moved to the United States to pursue the American dream while supporting her son's education. Driven by her passion for business, she found it difficult to settle into conventional employment and soon returned to entrepreneurship. In 2010, she opened a small trinket store in Flushing, New York. Later that year, she was recruited by one of the world's largest direct selling organizations, where she built lasting friendships and remained actively involved until she was diagnosed with cancer in late 2019.
To those who knew her, Ella was a woman of remarkable strength, optimism, and resilience. She was admired for her determination, her unwavering positivity, and her willingness to face life's challenges head-on. Whether navigating the highs and lows of business or enduring cancer treatment, she met every obstacle with courage, grace, and laughter. Her strength inspired countless friends, family members, and business partners.
Although her life was tragically cut short by an unexpected accident, Ella lived a life filled with purpose, joy, love, and meaningful accomplishments.
She leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, generosity, and cherished memories that will continue to inspire all who knew her. She lived fully and with few regrets, finding happiness in her family, her friendships, and the life she built.
Ella is survived by her loving husband, Wu Zheng, and their son, Harry Zheng.
A funeral service celebrating Ella's life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at One in Christ Ministries, 2220 Cluster Oak Drive, Clermont, Florida 34711.
